Proximity Issue 009 ( May 2012 )

Proximity Issue 009 is themed Grassroots Planning and Placemaking Projects. It was our early response to the City of Chicago's Cultural Plan 2012 that Mayor Rahm Emanuel directed the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events to produce.

This assemblage of ideas were collected by our friends in the various ecosystems of Chicago's Cultural worlds. It includes texts by Mike Wolf, Bill Mackey, Jonas Ohlsson, Bert Stabler, Allison Peters Quinn, Laura Fox, Eric May, Marguerite Hoberg, Jim Duignan, Lavie Raven, Michael Pecirno, Caroline Picard, Michelle Grabner, Michael Workman, Logan Bay, Sean Starowitz, Rachel Hewitt and Zach Rockhill.

This issue of Proximity was redesigned by Michael Freimuth. It was released during The Typeforce 3 Exhibition at the Co-Prosperity Sphere.
