The third issue of Mash Tun looks abroad, with reports from eleven cities and seven countries, all tied together with a common thread: a love for craft beer.

Indie star photographer Love Ablan (MTV, Bitch, BPM) contributes a look at Los Angeles’ hidden bar scene with the help of some of the city’s most infamous talents; Paul Durica plumbs the hidden history of Illinois’ Nazi brewers; and dispatches from Poland, Belgium, Holland and Manchester, England show readers that craft beer isn’t just an American thing. That’s all wrapped up with penetrating and insightful interviews with some of the leaders in the industry.

Mash Tun also debuted a new editorial team this issue to help expand the list of contributors and advertisers. Boasting 25 years of experience in the publishing world, the new co-editors, Shanna van Volt and Jamie Trecker, have made ambitious plans for the coming year -- including the release of a stand-alone Mash Tun book.

Future issues will explore hop production, South America, and the mysteries of corn and chestnut flour brewed beers. Mash Tun #3 is on stands now. Mash Tun #4 is slated for a Halloween release.
